Taizhou United Front Work Department Officials Visit Kai Motors to Advance Openness Through Overseas Chinese Initiatives

On the morning of March 13, 2025, Chen Fangyue, Executive Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department of the Taizhou Municipal Committee, led a research team to Luqiao District for a special visit focused on "Promoting Openness Through Overseas Chinese Resources." The delegation conducted a field inspection of Zhejiang Kai Motors' F7 Auto Plaza to gain an in-depth understanding of the company's overseas market expansion and innovations in foreign trade services. Ye Yiying, Member of the Luqiao District Committee Standing Committee and Head of the United Front Work Department, along with leaders from relevant departments, accompanied the visit.

Focusing on Auto Industry, Visiting a New Engine for Opening-Up
At 9:00 a.m., the research team's first stop was Zhejiang Kai Motors' F7 Auto Plaza. Feng Jian, General Manager of Zhejiang Kai Motors Trading Co., Ltd., detailed the company's development journey of over two decades in the automotive industry, highlighting achievements in used car exports, overseas market presence, and supply chain development.

The team learned that leveraging its mature distribution network and resource advantages, Kai Motors was approved as a used car export pilot enterprise in 2023. It has since exported over a thousand vehicles cumulatively and established three overseas showrooms and eight storage centers in regions including Russia, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia, forming a supply and demand chain system radiating across Eurasia. In 2023, the company exported 1,879 vehicles, amounting to USD 59.18 million. In 2024, exports surged to 6,990 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 272%, with an export value of USD 240 million, up 305% year-on-year.

Deputy Director Chen Fangyue affirmed the company's active role within the "dual-circulation" strategy and encouraged it to further leverage the advantages of overseas Chinese resources, deepen cooperation with overseas Chinese businesses, and facilitate more "Made in Taizhou" products to "go global."


Symposium Charts Development, Pooling Overseas Chinese Strength for Openness Blueprint
During the research symposium, units including the Luqiao District United Front Work Department, the District Overseas Chinese Federation, and Lunan Subdistrict reported on progress in the "Promoting Openness Through Overseas Chinese Resources" initiative and enterprise support measures. Deputy Director Chen emphasized that United Front departments must provide proactive, frontline services, accurately address enterprise needs, effectively utilize the overseas Chinese resource network, and build efficient mechanisms for government-enterprise coordination and domestic-international synergy. He also expressed hope that leading enterprises like Kai Motors would play an exemplary role, driving more Taizhou companies to integrate into the global industrial chain and contribute to building a new highland for an open economy.

Setting Sail for 'Intelligent Manufacturing in Taizhou'

This visit fully reflects the high importance the Taizhou Municipal United Front Work Department places on the "Promoting Openness Through Overseas Chinese Resources" work and has provided direction for Luqiao District to further optimize business services and deepen opening-up.

Looking ahead, Luqiao District will enhance policy integration and resource coordination, continuously stimulate market vitality, and empower "Intelligent Manufacturing in Taizhou" to set sail for global markets.
