Deputy Head Ma Qingtian Presents Honor to Kai Motors, Boosting Cross-Border Trade Ties
On April 18, 2025, Ma Qingtian, Deputy Head of Luqiao District, Taizhou, led a delegation to the Horgos Comprehensive Bonded Zone in Xinjiang, where he presented the “Star Port Warehouse for Used Car Exports of Luqiao District, Taizhou” designation to KaiMotors. This move marks a new stage of collaboration between Luqiao District and Horgos in the used car export sector, further extending the reach of the “rooted plant” economy into Eurasian markets.
Public-Private Synergy Builds Benchmark for Cross-Border Exports
Since obtaining its used car export qualification in May 2023, Kai Motors has rapidly grown into a leading used car exporter in Zhejiang Province, leveraging the geographical and policy advantages of the Horgos Port. The company consistently ranks among the top performers in the province in terms of both export volume and value. The newly designated “Star Port Warehouse,” located within the Horgos Comprehensive Bonded Zone, spans an area capable of storing over a thousand vehicles and integrates display, transaction, warehousing, and logistics functions, offering one-stop procurement services for international buyers.
In his address, Deputy Head Ma Qingtian emphasized that the operation of the port warehouse represents a key initiative by Luqiao District in supporting the national Belt and Road Initiative and deepening East-West regional collaboration. He also highlighted the project as a model for Taizhou’s open economy upgrading strategy.
This accreditation not only demonstrates the strong competitiveness of Taizhou’s Luqiao District in the used car industry but also stands as a vivid example of deepened regional coordination between Xinjiang and Zhejiang in jointly expanding Eurasian markets. As the “rooted plant” economy continues to extend its reach, this cross-regional partnership will inject new momentum into China’s high-quality foreign trade growth.
